In most games, there's usually lag or performance issues and they are also inherent in RTS games as well. This is why the developers make updates from time to time in order to fix those lags or issues.

What's the last RTS game which you played that had a serious lag or performance issues?
 
The lagging issues I usually have has more to do with my PC and not the games. When the battery is low it will start lagging on every activity I perform, and this affects the games as well. No game has given me lagging issues on its own.
