What makes you abandon a game halfway?

I have a few games that I have abandoned halfway and was not able to finish. One thing that leads to this is unreasonably tough missions. Why do I have to watch YouTube videos before I would know how to complete some missions?
Once it gets too hard I move on to the next playable one.

Do you play games halfway and abandon? Why?
