Thoughts on Star Wars Technology?

There are some aspects of Star Wars that relates to technology. The starship, the iconic blasters and lightsabers. What do you have to say about their significance and what makes it different from other gaming technologies?

Well a storm trooper couldnt shoot the side of a barn with their guns so Id say that technology isnt that great lol

It's very... thematic technology, not practical, 'hard scifi' technology especially when you then bring the force into it. Rule of cool seems to be a core philosophy in the force that affects regular stuff. Really it's more a vessel for a mixed straight fantasy story.

Can argue with that. Totally can.

The technology has never really stood up to any scrutiny and I don't believe that it was supposed to either. It's more science fantasy than science fiction.
