This is worth a look:

We learn more about the relationship between Kay and Nix. Nix looks to be much more than just a cute pet but instead has a ‘symbiotic’ relationship with Kay. He can be used to attack, solve puzzles and locate secret areas.

Kay’s blaster has at least three modes. Stun, Blaster and Focused. We learn that her blaster will be upgraded as the game progresses and that it’s a versatile tool; not just for, um, blasting.

Central to the game will be Kay’s reputation with the many and varied Syndicates. The Hutts and Pykes are two mentioned in the video. In the underworld you live and die by your reputation. Choices matter.

There is a GTA style wanted-level system with your wanted level increasing if you are caught or continue to commit actions against the Empire. At the highest levels, the Empire will throw a huge amount of forces at you.

Kay’s ship is an EML light freighter from the Republic era called The Trailblazer. The Trailblazer will be used for dog-fighting, epic battles against larger starships (read: Imperial Star Destroyers) and for discovery and exploration. Transitioning from on foot to speeder bike to atmospheric flight, to space flight and on to hyperspace is intended to be a seamless experience.
