In Command & Conquer, each map actually demands a unique strategy. For example, on Desert Storm, I make sure to focus on controlling the central oasis, I did this because it provides me a crucial choke point for resources and movement. Additionally , I make sure to also use scouting enemy base locations to ensure that I predict their expansion plans too. In the early game, it's always good to go for a fast scout rush as this will help to disrupt their economy and gain advantage.
