I'm a big fan of the Age of Empires, but I have only played it on my PC. I want to play this game on the go, and I keep wondering if the mobile version is similar to the PC. I haven't downloaded it yet. Can anyone tell me if it's worth it? Does it have the same features, campaigns, and gameplay as the PC?

They have some similarities, but at the same time, they also have their differences. The mobile version has a better graphics than the PC, while the PC offers more in-depth gameplay and a bigger map than the mobile version.

I've played Age of Empires on both my PC and on mobile. Based on my experience , the mobile version is simple to play, but it lacks some PC features you might be looking for . But you will get to enjoy the touch screens and the shorter match times. Also, the graphics are super impressive, and the controls are good too.

The convenience of the mobile and the portability are enough for me. It might not match the PC, but I had its own strengths. You get to see base-building, resource management, and strategic battles on the mobile version. It's so easy to pick up and play because the gameplay is quite simple.

I really don't think there should be a comparison of the same game based on the device it is played. One should obviously not expect the same experience when playing the 2.
Personally, I'm okay with playing on mobile, as it affords me the opportunity to play anytime and anywhere.
The experiences are clearly not the same, but it depends on one's preferences.

From my experience with Age of Empires on PC, the mobile version seems quite different. While the mobile version simplifies the mechanics for touch controls and casual play, the game lacks the depth and complexity of the classic PC experience.
