Hey hi hello. I'm Al and I'm really, really, bad at games.
The problem with that is that I bloody love them. Playing them, writing about them, watching others play them, talking about them. I've played all kinds of games throughout my 46 orbits of the sun, from ancient arcade games as a small boy to the latest AAA titles; but its strategy games I enjoy the most. Specifically, Real-time Strategy games. If you're reading this, maybe you do to.

- Favourite RTS Game
- My favourite is Supreme Commander / Forged Alliance. It was the first game I played where the possibilities of epic scale was realised.
- First RTS Experience
- My first RTS game was Red Alert. I'd played other strategy games like the Civ games and city builders like SimCity, but Red Alert was the standout title that got me into RTS games.
- Recent RTS Play
- Right now I'm so incredibly fortunate to be playing the Sanctuary: Shattered Sun pre-alpha. It's incredible. Chris Taylor called it the 'spiritual successor' to Supreme Commander.
- Top RTS Recommendations
- Naturally, Supreme Commander. Dawn of War is a fantastic game. Command and Conquer Generals is a great experience.
- Favourite Faction/Army
- Yes! China Infantry General from Command and Conquer Generals.
