An actual legend. produced something extraordinarily unique. Like every artist, he has had his rough patches, but it is part of the experience. Without himself, humanity would be quite different because he influenced so many young people. What do you think of George Lucas?

He's an absolute phenomenal. It's not just in Star Wars that he showed his intelligence just like George R.R Martin did with Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, George Lucas was also very exceptional with his works in the Indiana Jones franchises.

A lot of hard feelings are carried with him due to the sequel trilogy, and rightfully so, but George Lucas has been able to succeed in multiple genres. He created an entire science fiction genre and built it from almost nothing to the second largest grossing movies of all time. That doesn't happen by accident or by luck, and the Indiana Jones movies are a testament to that.

I completely agree. He’s such a talented individual and it really does show in his work. I agree with the last poster, John. truly amazing to see that he was able to succeed in multiple niches. Not many can achieve this.

Exactly! Some writers struggle so much when they try to spin another content creation different from what they are popularly known for with a particular franchise but that's not the case with George Lucas. He was totally exceptional in other works be took up.

There was nothing like Star Wars before. In fact, all he had to work from was religion, mythology etc.. Well, there was Star Trek and The Twilight Zone, but other sci-fi was very corny.

The packaging was very novel, but a great deal of credit comes down to history with WW2 being known as a particular source of inspiration. There are aspects of mythology, religion and for that matter some very long lasted storytelling tropes too. Not the most original stry in the world when dug into but a well-curated delivery and groundbreaking effects clearly took it the distance. The greatest works tend to be those that put together and curate many inspirations in a way people just have not thought of, and lets everyone attach to it in some way. He came at the perfect time, with exactly the balance the market needed, with the ingenuity to make it work and the assistance to get it instantly in the big time.

World War II made for some great stories. However. it all could have been prevented easily by rebuilding Germany (in a good way) and not giving in to peace-lovers. As they say, Peace Kills. ;)
