Like it or not, there's a lot of good that the EU has been doing for its citizens. One of those is an upcoming change that people living in the EU will be able to unlink their Facebook and Instagram accounts from each other.
With the EU’s Digital Markets Act (DMA) set to come into effect on March 6, 2024, Meta announced today that it will soon let users in the EU and Switzerland unlink their Facebook and Instagram accounts to stop sharing information between them. The company will also allow Facebook users to stop using their Facebook information in Facebook Messenger, Facebook Marketplace, and Facebook Gaming.
