How do you compare "Dawn of War" with other real-time strategy games, in terms of resource management, unit diversity, and faction-specific abilities? How does "Dawn of War" innovate or deviate from the traditional resource management systems popular in other RTS games? Do you see any difference in the pacing and flow in Dawn of war compared to other RTS?

I think Dawn of War really stands out because of its unique resource system. You just need to capture points instead of gathering resources. This makes the game to be more focused on battles and expansion when compared to other RTS games like StarCraft.

Agree with @Blitz - the focus on resource points having to be captured to gain resources forces players to aggressively capture areas of the map. If they do not it leaves the enemy free to dominate. This is different to the C&C family of games where ore/tiberium fields can be harvested by multiple factions at the same time. It's really cool that they decay too. So you can't rely on what you have captured. You gotta go get more.
