- 35 Missions in Mythical Settings: Arena of the Gods offers a series of missions led by Kastor, son of Arkantos, inviting players to battle across mythological landscapes in either solo or co-op mode.
- World Twists: Unique modifiers called World Twists will impact each mission, bringing unexpected changes to gameplay. For instance, the Thoth Twist doubles god technology effects, while Freyja’s Twist makes cavalry more expensive but grants them an infantry transformation upon death.
- Strategic Blessings: Completing missions rewards players with strategic boosts, or Blessings, adding new dimensions to gameplay. These include Odin’s Outlaw Wisdom, which reduces cooldowns on abilities, and Gaia’s Lashing Roots, enabling Heroes and Legends to deliver area damage.
Arena of the Gods’ content-packed, mission-based gauntlet is entirely free for owners of Age of Mythology Retold and is set to release on Thursday, November 7. The mode promises a fresh, challenging take on classic strategy gaming with evolving mechanics that will keep fans on their toes.
In addition, the announcement comes right on the heels of the reveal for Immortal Pillars, the first major expansion for Age of Mythology Retold. Though Immortal Pillars doesn’t yet have a release date, Arena of the Gods is a solid update to keep you engaged as you await more content.
